Coach Belichick is the best coach that I have ever competed against, and I think it’s safe to say that he will go down as the greatest NFL coach of all time.

It Is What It Is » Five reasons why AFC title game will be completely different than regular-season matchup between Patriots-Broncos

It Is What It Is » Five reasons why AFC title game will be completely different than regular-season matchup between Patriots-Broncos

Good summation of what will be different this time. I don’t know much about how it will unfold, but I know we can count on the Patriots to compete for 60 minutes. If they can finish and hold on to the ball, I like their chances.

We didn’t lose the game because of any ‘Spygate,’ because of them having any additional things,” Cowher told 93.7 The Fan on Wednesday. “[If] they’re guilty of anything they’re guilty of arrogance because they were told not to do something but it was something everybody does. They got caught doing it with a camera. Stealing someone’s signals was a part of the game and everybody attempted to do that. We had people that always tried to steal signals. What happened when we lost that game is they outplayed us. It had nothing to do with stealing signals or cheating or anything else.

Bill Cowher dismisses impact of ‘Spygate’ – ESPN

I usually don’t do the Spygate dance anymore, but for this I just had to post it. Not that it will do anything to deter the tinfoil hat-wearing conspiracy theorists who have written entire books on the topic…

These Patriots believe in fiscal discipline with the salary cap, which often means tough decisions with beloved fan favorites (e.g. Wes Welker). They attempt to build a strong middle class on the roster, which is easier to do when players such as Blount ($680,000) and Collins ($683,000) are in starring roles but accounting for so little cap space. It also helps when your star player, quarterback Tom Brady, is on board with the plan.

Good read from great writer Elizabeth Merrill about the guys who have had Brady and Manning’s hands up their butt.

Meet the New England Patriots Biggest X-Factor: Jamie Collins | Bleacher Report

Meet the New England Patriots Biggest X-Factor: Jamie Collins | Bleacher Report

Fantastic breakdown from Frenz here. Honestly, if the Pats have a chance to win this weekend and in the Super Bowl, I think Collins needs to play two more games just as well as he did against the Colts.

Coverage like this against Julius Thomas this weekend is so vital. Love how Collins gets his head around and almost makes a play on the ball. Textbook, and not something we’re used to seeing from a Pats linebacker.
