This game is supposedly all about the high-octane Patriots offense vs. Seattle’s Legion of Boom secondary. But what about the flip side? How are Russell Wilson and Co. supposed to put up points against a Patriots defense that has effectively controlled all but two quarters of the postseason?

Put another way: Seattle’s defense is probably marginally better than New England’s. But the offenses aren’t even close. The Patriots averaged 29.3 points per game, good for fourth in the league, and that includes a finale against Buffalo in which they didn’t try. The Seahawks, meanwhile, were a respectable 10th at 24.6 points per game, but they lack weaponry.

So glad to still have Tedy Bruschi out there with his flamethrower. The Pats have made plenty of enemies over the last decade and a half and a lot of them are in the media now. It’s good to have a passionate defender of the Pats’ legacy in there too.

I think they’re very ticked off. Some of them are probably ticked off at the media, some of them are probably ticked off at the league, the Colts, the Ravens or whoever, and they’re all going to let it out against the Seahawks, which is what they’ll need against the most physically dominant team in the NFL,

If the Wells investigation is not able to definitively determine that our organization tampered with the air pressure in the footballs, I would expect and hope that the league would apologize to our entire team, and in particular Coach Belichick and Tom Brady for what they’€™ve had to endure this past week.
