Now Gronk needs yet another surgery- this time on his back. The next time he goes under the knife, how about we just bring him to OCP instead of Mass General and they’ll fix him up real nice…into ROBOGRONK.
As it was said in The Six Million Dollar Man, “Gentlemen, we can rebuild him. We have the technology.”

It’s great that we have so many guys that can do different things in the front seven,” said 6-foot-2, 260-pound Rob Ninkovich, one of those hybrids. “That obviously is going to help change things up. That’s the one thing about the NFL – you can’t stay in the same thing for too long because everyone is studying and doing their homework on what you’re doing. The best thing is to change up and be multiple.

Per source, Patriots TE Rob Gronkowski will need back surgery. Tentatively set for mid-June. He’ll likely miss at least part of camp.

Seems pretty likely we won’t be seeing Gronk in early September, which will certainly make things interesting against the Bills and Jets. We’re looking at a starting Patriots offensive weapon cast of Hernandez, Amendola, Ballard, TBD (Dobson?) and Ridley.
Danny Amendola had another pretty impressive workout. He drew the vocal praise of offensive coordinator Josh McDaniels early in practice during group work with the quarterbacks. Later, he made a nice diving catch as he fought for a deep ball down the field to beat Alfonzo Dennard.
