Notes on last night from Nick Underhill, he was high on Ras-I:

After a rough day Sunday, cornerback Ras-I Dowling bounced back with a better performance Monday. Had one blatant pass interference infraction, but thought he did a much better job in coverage. Aqib Talib owned the day, though. He started out by intercepting a pass intended for Michael Jenkins and finished up by taking one away from Kenbrell Thompkins.

Jamie understands how to play the deep ball because he played safety. I’m expected big things if a running back runs a wheel route on him. It’s stuff like that that’s a plus for us. That’s a plus for him. To put it that way. That he’s seen the game in so many different views that he understands it a lot better. I just have to figure out how to explain certain things to get it across, but once he gets a grasp on it, once he gets a few reps, he’s functional. He can go out and do it.

Brady and the team’s other veterans weren’t required to report until last Thursday, but the two-time NFL MVP instead showed up four days early. The main reason: to continue the process of working with a rookie receiving corps that is being counted on heavily as part of a redo at the position unlike any the team has undertaken in the past during Brady’s tenure.
