We took a bunch of key guys falling down, with Vince [Wilfork] and Mayo and TK (Tommy Kelly) and all the other guys that are banged up,” he said. “It’s football and it’s all expected – one guy down and another guy comes up. I feel like everybody that’s here is going to help us win; that’s why they are here. As long as we communicate and execute the game-plan, we’ll be fine.

His teammates say that Armstead has been present in the meetings and is doing his best to keep up in the classroom. “He’s just trying to pick up the stuff and learn,” defensive tackle Joe Vellano said. “I don’t know where he’s at (health wise). That’s something for coach (Bill) Belichick. “Without a doubt he knows his stuff. Tries to keep up on stuff.

Are you surprised by the of screen plays this year

October 16, 2013 by Mike Dussault

Hard to really judge because the best receiving back is still hurt and Bolden seems to drop every other screen pass they set him up with. You really can’t underestimate the effect of Gronk and Vereen’s return can potentially have. Two hugely versatile players that will add entirely new dimensions to the offense.

Patriots won the one-on-one against Saints – Sports – The Boston Globe

Patriots won the one-on-one against Saints – Sports – The Boston Globe

The good and the bad…

The Patriots entered the game tied for the league lead with 18 drops, and had four more, plus a fifth by Danny Amendola that was wiped out by a penalty. Aaron Dobson had two drops, including a crucial one on fourth down late in the fourth quarter.

Mankins was excellent in run blocking, and it seemed like every time Ridley or Brandon Bolden had a nice gain, there was Mankins pulling through the hole and making the key block. Mankins had the key block on a 14-yard run by Ridley, a 12-yard run for Bolden, a 19-yard run by Ridley, and then on Ridley’s first touchdown. Ridley had 20 of the Patriots’ 35 carries and clearly has the best burst of the running back group.

New England Patriots-New Orleans Saints review: Aqib Talib moves up cornerback rankings by shutting down Jimmy Graham | masslive.com

New England Patriots-New Orleans Saints review: Aqib Talib moves up cornerback rankings by shutting down Jimmy Graham | masslive.com

For years opposing offenses were able to circle the Patriots on their schedule and know that they could log big numbers against the secondary. That’s no longer true, and New England has Talib to thank for that. His standing as a shutdown cornerback is no longer up for debate. First he took down Tampa Bay’s Vincent Jackson, then Atlanta’s Julio Jones, and finally Cincinnati’s A.J. Green. All three were impressive feats, but the way he erased Jimmy Graham from Sunday’s 30-27 win may be his most impressive performance to date.

Hey, Bro How many mock drafts have you made for the 2014 draft? Are you going to make a new one? Can you post the links of them?

Here’s the only one I’ve done so far. I’ll do one more the Monday before the draft. Some of these guys might be overdrafted as I did this one in February, but overall I still like these prospects. Now that we’ve had the bulk of free agency, I think defensive end and tight end have […]
