My question is do you fault McDaniels for putting Hernandez in on the play after his brutal helmet hit or is Aaron a bit of a softy? Will this follow him into the post season?
Yeah I think that’s a tough play call immediately after Hernandez got blasted. I don’t think Hernando is soft. They certainly didn’t put him in a position to succeed there.
How much of a difference would GRONK would have made versus the 49ers.
I don’t want to roll out the #Gronkscuse but there’s no question he would’ve made a difference. The problem though is that the Pats came out flat so it’s doubtful Gronk would’ve been the magical elixir that made them come out on fire.
But Gronk’s the hardest part of the Patriots offense to game plan and that would’ve had a trickle down effect for the 49ers in their preparations.
I just can’t wait to get Gronk and Hernando back on the field together healthy. The Pats will have a whole dimension once that happens.

Patriots receivers have dropped 9.2% of “catchable” passes this season. Only four teams have dropped a higher percentage of catchable passes and one of them is Jacksonville, who’s receivers have dropped a league high 11.6% of catchable balls.
