Tom Brady had 4:01 left with just a 30-28 lead, so this was going to be a crucial execution of the four-minute offense. We have seen teams like Dallas, Atlanta and Houston really put games away (against the Manning brothers this year, specifically) in this moment. While the Patriots like to pass in these situations, Brady’s success is not up to par. In the final four minutes of the fourth quarter with a one-score lead, Brady is just 31 of 58 for 328 yards, interception and a 63.0 passer rating. On third downs only, he is 15 of 29 for 176 yards, interception and a 56.1 passer rating.

Captain Comeback Week 3: What the Hell’s Going on Out Here?

Somewhat of a companion piece to what I wrote earlier today about the defense. No question Brady and the offense didn’t do them any favors in those games either. Still, you can’t go 0-for-4 on defense when a stop equals a win.

Dead on analysis from Steve Balestrieri about the pass rush. It’s funny, usually Pats fans love to complain about the pass rush and now when it really was a glaring problem I haven’t heard much about it.

The Bills offensive line has had a great start to the season, and the Pats defensive lines ability to get pressure might be the key factor starting between the 2-2 or (gasp) 1-3.
