Wow, I am both relieved and proud to have written a complimentary article to Andy Benoit, a football writer I have long respected, that makes a lot of the same points about the Pats and man coverage that I made in my piece. It’s times like this I almost feel like I know what I’m talking about when it comes to x’s and o’s.
As we started last week we’re linking to an old post at the old blog on Thursdays and today’s selection is what I wrote in 2007 about my experience getting tickets and going to the 2006 AFCDG vs. San Diego.

If they missed Vince Wilfork, it didn’t show. I guess you could quibble he might have stopped them on 4th & goal from the 1-centimeter line. But I thought they used the rotation Joe Vellano, Tommy Kelly and Chris Jones about as well as you could ask. And it didn’t appear they dumbed it down […]
