Ok I’m superstitious extremely! Lol I won’t wear the other teams colors at all and I always wear a shirt that has to do with what the team needs that day to like my Do Your Job! Shirt or my Brady name n number tee soon I’ll be wearing my Nothing but Aqib Thing! Now seriously since we released Sudfeld are they getting The Gronk back???? Should I order my Groninator tee?? Lol

LOL -> GET THAT GROKINATOR!

I think this is more a sign that they like what Hooman and Mulligan bring over what Hooman and Sudfeld bring. Sudfeld has promise, hopefully he’s back on the practice squad shortly, but he needs some time to develop. Though he looked good in the preseason, the regular season is something else entirely.

I don’t think it necessarily means Gronk is back this weekend for sure. It’s possible. But more likely I think we see him next week against the Saints.

Really enjoy your work and agree with your recent thoughts about the interior defensive line. What do you think about the Pats taking a QB in the draft next year? There’s a lot of good QB’s who are coming out (or probably will be) and if we take one now he can sit and learn from Brady for 2-3 years until Brady retires. I strongly feel that too many QB’s are rushed into starting these days and sitting and learning from one of the best could really make sure the team stays strong in the future.

Thanks. Here’s a full article I wrote this summer on the Tom Brady replacement plan. I think the next couple years are right in the sweet spot for developing a good QB and giving him enough time to learn under Brady.

Seems to me like they’ll probably stick with the pocket passer type, I think that’s more important to them that having someone who can run the read option. Still, I think BB and McDaniels appreciate the evolution of the game and will try to stay ahead of the curve.

Patriots Today – BB Breaking it down

As close as we’ll ever get to a BB film session…

A family superstition: sometimes if we’ve changed the channel to escape the insanity of a game, only to come back and find out that they’ve scored or seem to be doing better, we force whoever’s got the remote to switch back to the other show. Sometimes, as a true fan, you have to sacrifice watching the game for your team if they do better when you don’t watch!

LOL, that’s awesome, and I can say I think we’ve all had these kind of moments. I’ve definitely changed clothes at half time after a crappy start.

My superstitions are: I haven’t washed my Brady Jersey i got it for my for my birthday a couple of years ago (it honestly doesn’t smell bad and has no stains. Crazy, right?). I wear a different Pats shirt depending if it’s a home/away game. A home game I wear the typical dark blus patriots t-shirt (with the old endzone logo across the chest) under my jersey, An away game I’ll wear my grey Pat the Patriots shirt under my jersey. I adhere to this dress strict dress code every game day.

Love it.

I don’t need to wear the same thing every week (except for the hat), but my wardrobe choice usually reflects what I think the team needs that week. For example, if we need a big defensive effort I might wear the old reliable blue Bruschi jersey. Looking for some old fashioned TB magic? I go with the white authentic Brady jersey. Or if it feels like a BB legacy game I go BB authentic hoodie.

Of late I’ve been wearing the numerous awesome tees that I either sell or bought from TownieNews.com. Can never go wrong with those bad boys either.

Patriots Fans and Superstitions

October 3, 2013 by Mike Dussault

Here’s some fun stats on superstitions from Bud Light, who surveyed 10,000 NFL fans with 50 questions.

Patriots fans are the 22nd most superstitious team in the league and more than one-third of Patriots fans wear the same article of clothing every game for the win.

The top 5 most superstitious fan bases:

1.      Baltimore Ravens fans

2.      Arizona Cardinals fans

3.      New Orleans Saints fans

4.      Oakland Raiders fans

5.      Philadelphia Eagles fans

I used to be a somewhat superstitious fan, but the only thing now is that I wear the same hat for each game, one that I buy new for each season.

Maybe the reason Pats fans aren’t that superstitious is that we usually win, so any accidental changes in game routine wouldn’t really seem to matter.

Here’s some more fun stuff…

Patriots Fan Stats:

  • Don’t ask me to move. More than one-third (35%) of Patriots fans sit in the same spot every game to boost team performance.
  • BFFs: Patriots fans rank second in the league (22%) for engaging in superstitious activities with their friends. Only Raiders fans are more friend-centric.
  • This old thing? More than one-third (35%) of Patriots fans wear the same article of clothing every game for the win.
  • Almost one-fourth of Patriots fans (24%) believe their superstitious activities affect the outcome of the game.
  • It’s not me, it’s you: Seventy-one percent of New England fans believe fellow Patriots are more superstitious than themselves.

 Patriots Fan Superstitions:

  • “I always eat the same snack during the game (sour cream and onion chips), and I only allow talking during the commercials.” – Female, Age 30-39
  • “I sit in ‘my’ spot on the couch at my folks’ house.” – Male, Age 21-29
  • “I don’t wash my Patriots jersey and wear it every time a game is on.” – Female, Age 21-29
  • “During playoffs, I always buy this seven layer dip from a local store, and whenever I eat it and watch the game they always win!” – Female, Age 21-29
  • “I have an old Patriots patch that I keep on a table next to my chair.” – Male, Age 70+

What about you guys? What are your superstitions?

NFP Breaks Down Brady to Moss vs. Colts

NFP Breaks Down Brady to Moss vs. Colts Moss was really dogging it on this play, huh? If you rewatch this entire game (turning it off before 4th and 2 of course) you’ll find Moss basically playing with one arm. And he still had 179 yards receiving. One thing should be for sure this year, […]
