Really enjoy your work and agree with your recent thoughts about the interior defensive line. What do you think about the Pats taking a QB in the draft next year? There’s a lot of good QB’s who are coming out (or probably will be) and if we take one now he can sit and learn from Brady for 2-3 years until Brady retires. I strongly feel that too many QB’s are rushed into starting these days and sitting and learning from one of the best could really make sure the team stays strong in the future.

Seems to me like they’ll probably stick with the pocket passer type, I think that’s more important to them that having someone who can run the read option. Still, I think BB and McDaniels appreciate the evolution of the game and will try to stay ahead of the curve.

I know you’ve mentioned it before, but how important is Vereen’s return to the offense and exactly where/when will he be utilized? Also, if Vereen does return playing great football, will he become the #1 back in place of Ridley?

In theory it should be huge. He was their only real threat catching passes from the backfield going into this season, and while everyone was ready to dub him the next superstar, it’s hard to ignore that he does have an injury history. Hopefully he can stay healthy once he comes back. There really isn’t […]
