Since going undrafted as a junior entrant in 2011, Siliga had been cut by the San Francisco 49ers, the Denver Broncos, traded to the Seattle Seahawks and cut thrice more. The 6’2”, 325-pounder had been a member of two practice squads and played in one career game. Although after just five weeks on New England’s eight-man roster, Siliga was promoted to the 53-man roster. He’s played in five games since, starting four of them. He’s totaled 23 tackles and three sacks over that span.

Hey Mike, any particular reason why the Pats didn’t wear their red throwback jerseys this season?

December 31, 2013 by Mike Dussault

Was wondering the same thing myself. Also noticed this was the first year since 2008 (I think) that they have’t worn an alternate or throwback, and have worn blue at home and white on the road (except Miami of course) for every game.

We’ve seen them wear white at home quite a few times since the dreaded 2008 GU! game.

Dunkin’ Donuts Hosts “Give a Pint, Get a Pound” Kick-Off

Blood Drive Event with American Red Cross

All presenting donors will receive a coupon from Dunkin’ Donuts for a free pound of coffee and will be entered into a drawing for a chance to win Patriots postseason tickets

WHAT:  Dunkin’ Donuts, America’s all-day, everyday stop for coffee and baked goods, is hosting an American Red Cross blood drive on January 2 at the Patriot Place Activity Center to help increase the blood supply and raise awareness about the need for blood. All presenting blood donors at this drive will be entered into a drawing to win Patriots tickets to the January 11postseason game at Gillette Stadium. Four pairs of tickets will be given away.

Special appearances will be made by New England Patriots Cheerleaders, Pat Patriot, the Dunkin’ Donuts mascot and the American Red Cross mascot. Radio station Mix 104.1 will be on site to provide music and giveaways.

For the seventh year in a row, Dunkin’ Donuts and the American Red Cross are teaming up for the “Give a Pint, Get a Pound” campaign, which provides a coupon for a free pound of Dunkin’ Donuts coffee* to all presenting donors at Red Cross blood drives in Connecticut, Maine, Massachusetts, New Hampshire, New York and Vermont during the month of January. The campaign is in celebration of National Blood Donor Month and helps increase awareness about the need for blood. The campaign has achieved great success during the past six years as Dunkin’ Donuts has provided more than 520,000 pounds of coffee to presenting donors, and if one donation may help save up to three lives, Dunkin Donuts has potentially helped more than 1.5 million patients. Rob Ninkovich sets up plenty of sacks for teammates with a strong outside rush, so he need not apologize for getting his late fourth-quarter sack as a primary result of the work of veteran end Andre Carter. It was Carter’s strong inside rush on right guard Kraig Urbik that forced quarterback Thad Lewis to step up and allowed Ninkovich, whose motor never seems to stop, to get the clean-up sack.
