LB Jamie Collins had a very active day in pass coverage, and notched two pass break-ups. One was on a rainbow pass down the left sideline from Brady to Develin, and the other was on a crossing pattern that hit Julian Edelman in the hands right when Collins swiped at it.
Was really impressed with Collins size and speed in practice. His breakup of Edelman was impressive, not many linebackers can keep up with Edelman in the middle of the field and Collins was right there.
Was also impressed with Garoppolo, he seems to be building on his performance in the preseason.

So the Eagles were already dialed up Monday afternoon, even after a routine walkthrough without pads, especially the defensive backs. They had their sights set on revenge and showing the Patriots what’s in their DNA. No more Mr. Nice Guys.

So yes, the Eagles are out for revenge (?) against the Patriots for practicing too hard on them last year.
Even in a preseason practice the Pats are always in opponents heads.
Thanks to @PatriotsSB49 for the linkage.

[F]irst-year player Jordan Devey, who started the preseason opener at left guard in place of the rested Mankins, has worked as the top right guard the past two days. Devey could be an under-the-radar player to keep an eye on in the coming weeks.
Observations from New England Patriots camp: Day 19 – ESPN Boston
Tough to tell which under-the-radar guys are actually popping, and which are just getting a closer look next to the starters. Devey might fall into the latter category, but Malcolm Butler actually looks like he could make this team. Once again he made a play on the ball, picking off Brady with a slick catch along the sideline while keeping his feet in bounds. Butler is showing NFL-caliber anticipation and really breaks well on the ball.

Wrapping up my vacation in the next couple of days and then I’ll be back in the blogging saddle. But first, a trip to training camp today!

You don’t know what he sees, or what he knows, but he always is in the right place and has incredible instincts for a corner when sometimes he runs the routes [before] the receivers. He has great intuition and he obviously sees everything on the field. He sees the quarterback, he sees the split of the receiver, he sees the eyes of the receiver, he sees the technique of the receiver coming off the line of scrimmage, and it’s probably hard for him explain at times what he sees. He just sees everything and he makes great breaks on the ball. That’s what makes a great defensive player – the anticipation.

San Francisco 49ers vs. New England Patriots 2012 – HD YouTube If you can only enjoy Patriots victories then the Buttfumble game is probably your favorite one of 2012. But if you can handle a loss if it’s a great game then this one might be your favorite. It’s been a long time since there […]
