Well I guess I whiffed on Josh Kline starting at left guard, maybe it’s Devey? Or was the Vollmer to guard report true? Also a little surprised that Fleming is not suited and as Reiss writes, it’s a positive sign for Zach Moore, who I’m starting to realize might be a larger contributor than many of us expected.

One line of thinking is that the Patriots claimed safety Don Jones on waivers from the Dolphins on Monday so they could gather some intelligence leading into the season opener against Miami. Jones figured that was part of it, too. “I thought they would, but shoot, they haven’t asked me about anything,” Jones told me late in the week. “It surprised me a little bit.”
