patriots – Motto zone: Patriots’ ‘Do your job’ goes viral – WEEI | Christopher Price

patriots – Motto zone: Patriots’ ‘Do your job’ goes viral – WEEI | Christopher Price

Enjoyed this read from Chris Price about the history of DO YOUR JOB. I’d like to think I was ahead of the curve in 2010 when I started selling DO YOUR JOB tees long before the Patriots got on board with it being the team’s go-to marketing slogan. Of course, and I don’t like to speculate, but perhaps it had something to do with why the NFL issued a cease and desist to my little old Tumblr blog to stop selling them. Now every single Patriots internet site out there is selling some kind of Patriots tee and selling thousands of them. How can the NFL come after me and no one else? It will always be something I wonder.

This is our job, so if you’ve taken time out of your day to think about what other teams are saying, and what’s going on in the outside world, you’re taking away time for preparing.

Patriots claim not to be bothered by Bills coach Rex Ryan or the environment in Buffalo – New England Patriots Blog – ESPN

Same old Patriots. I remember when they used to get credit for their quiet confidence but not anymore.

Boston Herald/Howe: Malcolm Butler not down on the corner

Boston Herald/Howe: Malcolm Butler not down on the corner

Really good read from Jeff Howe on Butler. Can’t say it enough, Butler is the most promising young corner we’ve had here since Asante and I think he will actually be even better. What we’ve seen with Butler, and it goes back to last season, is that even when he gives up plays he is right there. It’s not long before those are interceptions or defended passes. It was similar to what I noticed most with Revis last year, he was always right there. The ball might sneak through or magically get deflected right into the receiver’s hands, but he was never totally burned unless there were special circumstances. It will be exciting to watch Butler develop over the course of the season and he’ll get plenty of challenges from plenty of receivers who are just as good as Antonio Brown.

I’ll just say, kind of tying this in with a couple of things from last week or earlier in the week, I just think overall, it’s kind of sad, really, to see some stories written that obviously have an agenda to them with misinformation and anonymous type comments. Writing about warm drinks and trash cans and stuff like that.  I think it’s just a sad commentary and it’s gone to a pretty low level.  Sunk pretty deep.

First of all, I would say that I think our program here is built on competition and trying to improve every day and trying to work hard. It’s not built on excuses. And we just try to go to work and improve and find a way to get better. This organization has won a lot of games, but particularly in reference to the great teams from 01, 03, 04 and all the great players that played on those teams… to take away from what those guys accomplished, how good they were, how many great players we had, how well they played in big games, how they consistently showed up and made big plays and game-winning plays, it’s just not right.

Should’ve posted this sooner but nice to see BB strike back a bit.

Optimizing training with nutritional supplements

September 15, 2015 by Mike Dussault

If there are two areas that football players have evolved, it’s about nutrition and taking the right supplements; taking them to not only take care of their bodies, but to aid in getting them ready for peak performance. The Patriots are one of the teams on the forefront of the importance of nutrition, with their team cafeteria consistently praised as being one of the best in the NFL, but it’s more than just food.

Supplements are a vital part of elevating workouts to the next level, and that means before, after, and on off days. Check out the pre workouts of Supps R Us, for supplements that can get your workout off on the right foot along with everything else you need to model your training after the pros.

Whether you’re looking for a Gronk workout or just want to cut some weight, what you put into your body is just as important as the physical activity you put your body through.

NFL training regimes focus primarily on three specific areas.

1. Pre-workout: A pre-workout supplement can really help elevate your exercise period by not only giving you that extra burst of energy you need to hit it hard, but also improve blood flow and enhance strength.

2. Protein: Protein is vital for muscle growth and repair, so a whey protein supplement is an ideal post-workout to feed those starving muscles.

3. Multivitamin – Often overlooked, the multivitamin will help with any nutrients you might be missing out on with your diet and keep you body in nutritional balance.

No amount of supplements can overcome poor workout habits, so it’s important to establish and maintain a routine, even on those days when it’s the last thing you want to do.

You don’t have to be an NFL player to want to improve your strength and conditioning, and with a little help, a simple supplement regime can really give you a boost to the next level.

Throwbacks and shutout! The Patriots defeat the Lions in week 5

In the throwback red uniforms Bailey Zappe may have handed the ball off to the beast that is Rhamondre Stevenson plenty of times, but he also attempted 21 throws, with 17 completions for 188 yards, and… one touchdown.  Right now there is plenty to still nibble at that lower lip in concern for over the […]
