Buffalo has done a great job of blocking defensive linemen in the running game, which has sprung their ball carriers loose many times through three weeks. The Patriots have to stop this from happening and one way to do it is get penetration from both the front four and linebackers, but especially the linebackers. If they can attack the gaps and cut off running lanes, they will make the Bills one dimensional by having to rely on Ryan Fitzpatrick to not make mistakes. Linebacker Brandon Spikes will be key here.

I really feel like the race is between the defensive line getting to the quarterback and it’s not necessarily the race between me trying to get open,” Lloyd said. “The route maybe is supposed to be at 16 yards, but according to how the release was – if it wasn’t clean, or what kind of stem you did in the route – it may come out to be a 10-yard route. That’s just the timing and the body language that the quarterback sees, ‘All right, he’s going to break now,’ and he’s going to let the ball go.”
