As training camp nears, whispers of New England’s demise will serve as a juicy narrative for analysts to chew on. Don’t believe the hype. The Patriots adjust to change better than any team in the NFL. Last season alone, their offensive scheme morphed weekly and that versatility is a hallmark of every Belichick team. While the rest of the AFC East finds itself in transition, struggling to build (or buy) a winning roster, the Patriots have carried on. After taking one on the chin, this old prizefighter still stands.

Sound FX: San Francisco 49ers vs New England Patriots (by Riku Yamaji)
What a game. And what an annoying way to lose it after coming all the way back.

NFL – 2007 Pats still wonder what might have been – ESPN
NFL – 2007 Pats still wonder what might have been – ESPN
Good read, although we all know the ending. Not sure how NFL Films hasn’t made a Missing Rings episode about this team yet, but I guess with every year that goes by the more likely they are to get former players and coaches to talk about it, like they do in this piece.
As I’ve said before, you can’t come within under two minutes of being the undisputed greatest team of all time and then simply fade into an also-ran just because the Giants got a miracle to beat them.
The 2007 Patriots was one of the most exciting and insane seasons a fan could ever experience, and really it was a huge part in starting all this Pats blogging stuff I do.

The Best of the Week in PatsPropaganda
Well, well, well…where to begin on a Best of this horrible past week. I know, I’ll just leave out any mention of case involving the Patriot formerly known as Hernando. Aside from the whole tragedy part of the past week, at the very least it’s a distraction from the usual dead space known as late-June/early-July.
First, if you haven’t visited yet, check out our new store page, the PatsProp Shop. We’ve got t-shirts and some magnets (but you’ll get free magnets and stickers if you just buy a tee). We’re happy to be stocked up early this year, and hoping to put in another order for some white DYJs since we’re almost totally out of them.
Here’s the “best” of the week…
Football First is the Patriot Way –> really proud of this one, check it out if you haven’t. I can always tell my best pieces are the ones that are most divisive in the comments, and the haters hated this one, and the loyalists loved it.
Thoughts on the End of the TE Party –> football-only stuff. No bubbalicious or gun pics.
8 Pats on the Bubble –> These guys are in for the fights of their pro careers.
Billick: Instant enshrinement for Brady if Patriots thrive – NFL.com –> been saying it already this offseason, and now with no mas Hernando, it’s even more true.
Mayo: Have to ignore the noise – New England Patriots Blog – ESPN Boston
Here’s our new tee, and the slogan is already perfect for the upcoming season. Ignore the Noise!
