A little bit of a surprise, especially just a week before camp starts, but I love it. Been saying all along I’d rather they just go for it with the group of rookies that they have. This also could mean that some of those rooks who were banged up might be ready to go, like Dobson, Boyce and Harrison. This is going to be a fascinating area to watch in camp.
The #Patriots are releasing WR Donald Jones, I’m told. They want to get their young guys reps. He’ll go on waivers.

They’re two great examples for us as a program to use when it comes to younger players. When you see a guy work as hard as they do, it’s hard not to follow along.”
“Steve Beauharnais is an elite-level leader. I said to coach Belichick when I had the chance to meet with him was that Steve was the rarest of all leaders. ‘He’s not interested in being popular with his teammates. He’s more interested in doing everything the right way. He will always be to the one who will do it the right way and expect everyone around him to do it the right way as well.”
Dr. Michael Kaplan compares Rob Gronkowski’s injury to that of Steelers quarterback Ben Roethlisberger, but says with two weeks of rest and rehab, the Patriots tight end should be ready to go for the Super Bowl. “He might be somewhat limited,” Kaplan said, “but I think he’s going to play and it shouldn’t be too […]
