The biggest change from years past to this season is the number of bad passes that Brady has thrown this season, which are defined for practical purposes as passes where he missed his mark. In all, 41 of Brady’s 85 incompletions were categorized in this manner. A few completions, such as the aforementioned Amendola play, could also be counted as bad passes. It will not surprise critics of rookies Kenbell Thompkins (13) and Aaron Dobson (10) were Brady’s targets on more than half of his bad passes, while Julian Edelman (eight) and Danny Amendola (four) are next of the list.
