Patriots 2013 Preseason Schedule
August 8-11 TBD at Philadelphia Eagles
Friday 8/16 vs. Tampa Bay Buccaneers
August 22-25 TBD at Detroit Lions
August 29-30 TBD vs. New York Giants
Some good teams that prepare the Pats well for the start of the regular season. Not sure how much else you can analyze a preseason schedule, or how much anyone really cares, except for the unfortunate fans stuck paying full price for the tickets.
Will be interesting to see potential joint practices w/ Eagles, Buccaneers or Lions. BB ties w/ head coaches. NE does play TB in reg. season

Drafting the Pats: DeAndre Hopkins would add outside explosion | Boston Herald
Looks like Hopkins is the turning into the most popular Pats pick in most mock drafts.
2013 Patriots Draft Contacts | NEPatriotsDraft.com
Here’s a great page to bookmark from the outstanding NEPatriotsDraft.com. They’re keeping track of every prospect that the Pats have had private interest in, and a good chunk of their picks from last season were on this list. Sometimes it’s just due diligence, but I’m taking a closer look at all the receivers on here, because of how important that selection will be this year. Not sure they’d take one without extensive board work with him.
It Is What It Is » Mike Mayock’s interview with Bill Belichick
Flashback link to three really good interviews with BB about the draft. One of the things that stands out to me, starting “inside out, and down the middle”.
Makes you wonder where the biggest impact position to target in the draft really is.
From this view, wide receiver is the Patriots’ biggest need leading into the draft, and specifically the team needs to find a wide receiver with size, who can play on the perimeter and who can beat man coverage. The Patriots used Brandon Lloyd in that role last season, but he was released in March. Though the team has added Jenkins (6-4, 214), he projects to be more of a depth player than a starter. The Patriots have three key receiving game pieces in place with tight ends Rob Gronkowski and Aaron Hernandez as well as Amendola, but another target is needed for Tom Brady. A receiver with size who can be a reliable red zone target would go a long way towards improving an already explosive and strong offense.

Chad Ochocinco, Antonio Brown, Mike Wallace, BJGE Workout Video :Ian’s New England Patriots Blog Hard to tell what Pats fans reactions will be for each of these guys. My prediction: Chad Ochocinco: “Eh, whatever. I wish it was Brady throwing the ball to him” Mike Wallace: “That threat looks like it could go deep” Antonio […]
