I think it’s a universal problem to begin with,” said one AFC general manager. “The college game is not kind to the evaluation process for receivers. Receivers in pro football require the ability to separate from man coverage and have great hands. In college football, receivers can just come off the line at any pace they want, catch a curl pattern, and people get up and think they’re great. In the NFL, that route doesn’t really exist very much.

Happy 3rd Anniversary to PatsPropaganda!

It’s hard to believe it’s already been three years here at the Ministry of PatsPropaganda. I began writing about the Pats online in December of 2007, with this being our first ever blog post. How long ago that seems!

I wrote for a number of different sites after that, eventually starting the PatsPropaganda twitter feed in April 2009 and then that, with some help from sister Sarah, became the inspiration for this Tumblr site.

Since then, there have been 8,473 posts at an average rate of 7.74 per day. Many ask how people work for the site, but it’s always been just me, utilizing the power of a posting queue and all the great videos, pictures and other work done by Pats fans from around the globe.

Each year has brought new exciting developments in the world of Pats blogging, and we hope it only continues. Thanks to all of you who support the site. You make it all the fun that it is. I appreciate every comment and message, good or bad.

We might not all always agree, but we all love the Pats, and being part of that global community is extremely special to me.

Thanks again to every last one of you!

Go Pats,

Mike D.

New England Patriots: It’s odd to see the Patriots with only three picks in the first six rounds. It’s a good thing then that they don’t need to do much in the draft. Finding help at receiver, defensive tackle and cornerback is New England’s primary goal. Ideal 2013 NFL Draft (First Four Rounds): 29. Jamar Taylor, CB 59. Markus Wheaton, WR 91. Dallas Thomas, G/OT

Some thoughts on the Patriots schedule – Extra Points – Boston.com

Just for kicks: predicting 12-4 with losses at Falcons, Saints (new defensive coordinator Rob Ryan knows how to slow Tom Brady a bit; New Orleans offense a schematic mismatch vs. Patriots), Broncos (they win it for Welker and Jack Del Rio gets a clue) and at Dolphins.
