Since the start of the regular season, the New England defense has maintained a turnover bag, where footballs that have been accumulated over the course of the year have piled up. A sack of footballs — actually, two bags full, right now, reside in a defensive meeting room at Gillette Stadium — souvenirs of a memorable year for the Patriots defense.

Who are your sleeper players to come up with a big play / have a big game? I am going with Arrington on Defense and Amendola on Offense.

January 30, 2015 by Mike Dussault

I think Amendola is a good pick, I think him and Edelman together might be more potent against the Seahawks than Gronk, at least as far as catches go.

On defense, I think it’s Brandon Browner. The more I think about it, the more I think he’ll slide to Willson on third downs, with Arrington/McCourty taking Kearse. I expect Browner to be fired up against his old team and have a good feel for how to play them. I think he’ll come up with some key passes defensed, and probably a penalty or two as we’ve come to expect.
