Patriots.com – Report: Patriots interested in OLB Sheard
Sheard was a popular Pats mock draft pick back when he was coming out, and it seems like he’d be a good fit for a rotational edge role, somewhat similar to what Akeem Ayers filled down the stretch last season. This is just the kind of mid-range guy the Pats like to pursue.

McCourty’s back with Patriots!
Devin McCourty didn’t even actually hit free agency thanks to the silly NFL legal tampering period. Now he’s locked with the Pats for another five years and getting $47.5 million dollars, $28.5 of which is guaranteed.
This is a good start to free agency, securing a homegrown captain just hitting the prime of his career. If they can keep Revis in the mix the Pats’ secondary will fully return from last season.
