Rob Gronkowski: Best Comeback Athlete 2/2

First I want to thank my mother Diane and my father Gordy,
I went through many difficult times in my career and they were
at all of my surgeries supporting me, flying across the country
whatever it took to be with me in the surgery room whenever it was
so thank you mom and dad. Second I just want to congratulate all the other
honorees. I remember Lindsey and myself coming out of the surgery room
about the same day all that pain and it just shows how athletes just work
so hard to get back to where they need to get back too. When you get down you put mind over matter, and you do everything possible to get back to where you started. And second I want to thank Mr.Kraft and Coach Belichick for always believing in me during my injuries and patriot nation, thank you.

Dan Connolly, Path to the NFL – YouTube

Congrats to Dan Connolly on a great career! The recent speculation had been that he would go out as a champion. Now the Pats have to fill their starting left guard spot for the second time in as many seasons. Tre Jackson and Shaq Mason are rookies who played right guard and center respectively, while the tackle conversion project could once again be in effect with Cameron Fleming, Caylin Hauptmann or perhaps another go-round with Marcus Cannon inside. Ryan Wendell can never be ruled out either.

Details of Tom Brady’s potential lawsuit against NFL; Patriots QB could possibly start Week 1

Good read on Brady’s legal options and chance to be on the field Week 1 with an appeal. I like his chances.

Gronk’s Biggest Gamble | The MMQB with Peter King

Gronk’s Biggest Gamble | The MMQB with Peter King

Really cool excerpt from Gronk’s book that will give you even more appreciation for what this guy went through just to get to the NFL, not to mention what he’s been through once he got there. Hard not to root for such a fun-loving guy who proves you can have fun without causing problems.

We pretty much knew Gronk would be an epic Patriot from the moment he put on the helmet after being drafted and started rocking out. If he can stay healthy the sky is the limit on his career and he just might go down as the best tight end ever.

BREAKING – Julian Edelman announces his retirement from football

Well, here it is. After 11 seasons with the Patriots, number 11 Julian Edelman, has announced his retirement from football. He goes out in the classy way that Jules always conducted himself, watch the whole video above, and be prepared for tears. I’m sad it’s ended like this for Jules, a fine player who will […]
