Reason: Anybody can work hard, but not everyone works smart. I believe Bill Belichick is the poster child for working smart. A true outlier, Belichick preaches ‘learning by doing’ and mastering a craft by repetition. I love this particular photo of BB because it captured him at an early point of his career taking his job very seriously.

Some early Sunday game thoughts…
– I like the Chiefs, but I hate Todd Haley. Hoping this season gets him fired so I can feel better about rooting for Cassel’s team.
– Looks like the early season dark horse buzz surrounding Buffalo might be legit.
– Weird how a lot of teams that were good last year laid turds today (Falcons, Chiefs, Steelers).
– Impressive win by the Ravens. That’s how a team that lost a playoff game to a divisional rival should come out. I liked the fake PAT. I expect Miami to have something similar for the Pats.
– Chargers look like they’re ready to start this season like they start every season under Norv. Like crap.
– Really looking forward to Jets-Cowboys tonight.
