No coach and QB have won more games together, and in a couple weeks they’ll sit alone atop the list. A lot of people speculate that BB will ride TFB to the end of his career then hang them up himself but I’m not sure. I know BB has great respect for how the 49ers were able to continue their Super Bowl run with two different QBs, and it wouldn’t surprise me to see him try to do the same thing.
Welker touchdown.
I did a lot of predicting that Welker was going to have a big year but I certainly didn’t think it would be to this level. The Cowboys did a good job against him yesterday, but the Pats just proved yet again that they’re not a one trick pony. Take away their top receiving threat and they’ll just make another top receiving threat, or two.

For the Patriots right now, Brandon Spikes is doing exactly what they want him to do on first and second down. He’s being aggressive in the running game, he takes on blocks and he does a great job when they send him on blitzes. I thought he was very physical with Phil Costa, the Cowboys’ center, and was able to get push in the pocket and penetration in the running game. He still needs to get better in coverage, but going straight ahead, he’s dangerous.

Bottom Line Apparel presents The Bottom Line Patriots Player of the Week
It feels good to award The Bottom Line Player of the Week title to a defensive player this week. Andre Carter has thus far been the biggest impact Free Agent the Patriots have had in a long time on the defensive side of the ball. He’s enabled them to do far more out of their base defense because he can stop the run but also get pressure with his pass rush. In the modern NFL players like this are essential and the Patriots have lacked them for the past few seasons.
