It wouldn’t surprise anyone to hear that Belichick is spending more time focusing on the defense, seeing as that was the weaker side of the ball and has been for the past few seasons. Is he more “passionate” about defense? Well, he’s passionate about winning. And being able to concentrate more on areas of need – while still working close enough with McDaniels – could prove to be the difference.

I heard from a source with direct knowledge of Mankins’ condition yesterday, and I asked for a timetable. One was not given. I asked for a prognosis on Mankins, and was told this: “He will be ready for camp,” the source said. No doubt, music to the Patriots ears.

Join me and Frenz as we discuss the Patriots moves in the first week of free agency, and we don’t discuss anything Peyton Manning or Tim Tebow-related.
I have a lot of respect for Peyton Manning as a person and as a player. He is a great role model and always puts the team first. And he is a great leader and representative for the NFL. Like always, it will be fun to compete against him this year when the New England Patriots play the Denver Broncos.
