Time to start counting down the last two days until the draft with some video throwbacks and there’s no better person to start with than Gronk. (via Rob Gronkowski drafted by Pats – YouTube)

Has there ever been a player selected who more immediately showed the kind of player they were going to be in the league? This video is missing it, but Gronk putting on the Pats helmet and rocking out was an instant sign this guy was going to be a force.

Given what just happened with Shane Ray if he were to fall would they bite

He’s such a tough projection for the Pats system. Of course anyone that explosive should be able to find a role in any defense, but I am just not quite sure where to play him at 6′3″, 245 pounds. Closest fit would probably be outside linebacker on early downs and then use him as a versatile pass rusher in sub packages. I’m not going to say they’re totally out on him, but I’d be surprised if they took him. Still, they love value, and that kind of player at 32 is almost unheard of…

Interesting, outside the box mock from Frenz. Of all the positions of need this week, I’m most interested to see how running back and wide receiver play out. Seems like the general opinions are across the board as to where need and fit could meet with those two spots.
