Doug Kyed of NESN.com goes WR in his latest mock. Certainly wouldn’t rule it out and Lee is a player I’ve been taking a closer look at. I don’t think it really matters what they think of Dobson. If they think a receiver can pick up their system and make an impact they will draft him and let the competition bring the best of everyone out.

29. New England Patriots (12-4): Marqise Lee, wide receiver, USC
The Patriots spent a lot of time with Lee at the combine, and they have shown interest in other top wideouts like Evans and Benjamin. Lee is a nice fit for the Patriots’ offense and could challenge Dobson and LaFell for the starting job at “X” receiver. Lee had highly productive freshman and sophomore seasons with the Trojans, but a knee injury slowed him in 2013.

Kicking off Thursday with an updated look at the Pats current salary cap situation with a huge hat tip to Miguel Benzan of PatsFans.com. There are a lot of sites that claim to be up-to-date on the Pats’ numbers but Miguel has been doing this far longer than anyone and is the only one I truly trust.
