I think Peyton Manning will put up numbers against the New England defense, will have his moments – but I’m sure Tom Brady will carve up the Denver defense. Brady has played the Broncos three times over the last 13 months (twice at home) and is 72-of-99 for 904 yards, nine touchdowns and one interception in three wins. The Broncos have a top-five defense and some A-list players, but they have demonstrated zero ability to slow down Brady and this offense, let alone stop it. And that’s why Brady and Belichick will be back in New Orleans.
Big news for Rob Ninkovich and the Patriots today. Tests concluded the defensive end has avoided a serious injury, and there’s a good chance he can play when the Patriots open the postseason Jan. 13, according to a source. He suffered some strained muscles in his hip, which is a positive development after there was some legitimate, initial fear the injury could cost him the postseason.

Huge news, and obviously it has to be taken with a grain of salt because a) the Patriots are masters of disinformation and b) who knows if Nink will be 100% by next Sunday. But this is positive news no matter how you cut it because I was certainly expecting he was done till next year.
