I’ve been sent this multiple times this morning so here it is. What a dejected looking crew coming off the field eh? I have to say I enjoy Rexy firing back like that. He is who he is!
Still need to go back and take a second look at the game, but the Patriots defensive game plan given the injures was pretty clear. Put the toughest run stopping LBs they could muster in, but maximize pass rushing to minimize the time needed for coverage as much as possible.
Managing the defense and the injuries will be difficult, especially with the varied attacks upcoming on the schedule, but on this night the Pats defensive game plan worked well.
They’re just rubbing it in my face by having Spikes in there.
