Today in reasons for Patriots fans to be excited…

Think of how much better Tom Brady was in 2010 than 2009. Now think about how much better Wes Welker will be in 2011 than he was in 2010. No one seems to remember Welker could’ve missed most of 2010 if he was human, yet he managed 86 catches and 7 TDs. Expect Welker to have the quick burst back in 2011.

Jeff Howe: Verified Patriots Twitter Accounts

Good to know if you’re on twitter or are thinking about succumbing to it’s power. Always funny when a fake accounts pop up. Today someone posing as @JulianEdelman11 started tweeting at the realPatriots and members of the team as if it really was JuJu. This account was debunked after Darius Butler told “Julian” to text him. “Julian” replied that he sent it to the “954” number. I guess Butler never got the text because minutes later he said he talked to the real Julian and he nixed the account as a fake. 

This still wasn’t even close to the greatest moment in twitter identity fraud. The all time title still belongs to when whoever it was posing as Rodney Harrison and totally laying the smack down on the real Kerry Rhodes. Rhodes apologized to him. A few days later the account was debunked. Good stuff, especially because it was when Rhodes was still a Jet. Sigh.

Anyway, just passing time as I countdown til next fucking season. First weekend sans Pats. The first of many. Ugh. I hate you Jets.
