what kind of a back is vereen? is he an everydown one like ridley or a woodhead type one?

The hype about him coming out was his speed and catching ability. We haven’t really seen either of those to this point, but I’d put him more in the Woodhead category, though he seems a little more robust. Woodhead is great in space but once guys get an arm on him he’s going down pretty quick.

It seems clear the Pats want to give him a chance to show what he can do, and seem to be taking steps to build his confidence up. But unless Woodhead gets hurt, or Vereen dramatically begins to flash, I don’t think we’ll see too much of him.
