Wes Welker needs four catches in the season opener to become the Patriots’ all-time leader in receptions. Troy Brown’s 557 catches is currently the top mark, a total that took 15 seasons to accumulate (1993-2007). Welker enters his sixth season with the Patriots in 2012, making the imminent accomplishment that much more impressive.
