I was watching the America’s Game video for the 2003 Patriots and was reminded of something that I realized after the Pats crapped the bed against the Ravens in 2009. During the last decade of dominance for the New England Patriots they experienced every possible ending to a season:
- Super Bowl Champs: 2001, 2003, 2004
- Super Bowl Losers: 2007
- AFCCG Losers: 2006
- AFCDG Losers: 2005
- AFCWC Losers: 2009
- Miss Playoffs: 2002, 2008 (both due to tie breakers)
Look there’s no doubt the “Dynasty” is over, but that doesn’t mean we can’t still win the Super Bowl, folks. Personally I am enjoying the process of re-building and when we win again it will be new and fresh, not necessarily expected.
