Brady reliving 2006?| Andy Hart – Patriots.com

I know we’re certainly reliving the body language storyline…

Through two weeks working without his previous favorite targets, back in 2006 Brady completed 26 of 52 passes (50-percent) for 483 yards with three touchdowns and two interceptions for an 85.6 passer rating. Through two weeks in 2013 Brady has completed 48 of 91 throws (52.7-percent) for 473 yards with three touchdowns and one interception for a 74.1 rating.

Ever since 2006, the “body language” criticism has been the stupid bar-setter by which all stupid criticism is measured, and now, surprise, surprise, IT’S BACK!

I can only imagine the reaction if Tom nonchalantly walked off the field after his offense went three-and-out again, maybe smirked and gave Dobson a little tap on the ass. “Don’t worry, big guy, we’ll get ‘em next time”. Yeah, the media wouldn’t have even more of a field day with that one.

The fire we see from Brady is why he’s one of the best all-time quarterbacks. If other professional football players on his team can’t handle his level of competitiveness then I suggest they find another line of work. The passion Brady shows is what will continue to show the young members of the team what the expectations are.

It’s overall execution of our whole offense, and it’s not the receiver position, it’s every position, including the quarterback position,” he said Monday during his weekly interview on Boston sports radio station WEEI. “The quarterback position, running backs, tight ends, receivers, offensive line – we all have to be on the same page. Until we are, we’re going to struggle.

“…I think the mental mistakes are things that you always get frustrated with because those are really things that are totally in your control. The physical mistakes are football. Yeah, you don’t want them to happen, but they’re going to happen. You’re not going to make every jump shot, you know? It’s just the way it is. You’ve got to be in the right spot, you’ve got to be doing the right thing, you’ve got to be doing it with the right amount of effort. You’ve got to be playing smart, you’ve got to be playing disciplined, and then try to limit your physical mistakes. That’s really what it comes down to. It’s no use just screaming at someone and saying, ‘Well, you have to, you know…’ They know, we know what we have to do. It’s just, we have to do a better job of it.”

No one’s coming to rescue and save the day,” Brady said. “We just gotta fight through it.
