Of course we weren’t giving up without a full shot of this now infamous scooter Rob Gronkowski has been using this week in Florida. We first learned of this scooter after Sunday night’s party at the Jason Taylor benefit and it’s been an obsession ever since. The thought of the guy throwing broads over his shoulder and scootering back to a hotel room is intriguing. And now we get a full look at this beast ride. Patriots tight end Rob Gronkowski should be OK to participate in the majority of offseason workout programs. Noted sports injury expert Will Carroll of SI.com said there’s reason to believe New England is looking at a four-to-six week recovery time for their big tight end, which should allow him to be ready by mid-April and the start of offseason minicamps. “He just had it cleaned out, from what I understand,” Carroll said. “I think that the fact they just went in and cleaned it out is a big positive. He’s got plenty of time to get back, even if it had been more serious.”

Gronkowski earned some additional JumboTron time later in the game when someone with a sense of humor put him on the video board while an LMFAO song blared. Gronkowski has been in the headlines for dancing shirtless following the Patriots’ Super Bowl loss last weekend in Indianapolis while LMFAO performed. Gronkowski just flashed his familiar smile when he realized he was on camera and limited his moves to a little head bob from his seat next to the TNT broadcast position at midcourt.

Gronking Jersey Shore style

This is the first time I’m posting anything about Gronk’s post-game dance machine because it puts it in the comedic vein it should be in. I could not care less that Gronk was going nuts like this after the game. Those who judge him for it, or think he should’ve been acting depressed, should try putting themselves in his shoes for a second.

Remember all the focus that was on him and his ankle over the two weeks leading up the Super Bowl. Imagine how much time (morning, noon & night) he spent rehabbing over those two weeks. There was so much pressure on this kid after having a historically great season.

As much as I’m sure he wanted to win, this is ultimately his job, so imagine someone judging you for going out and partying your ass off after a horribly stressful and disappointing end to what was otherwise a fantastic year at your job. He’s still just in his early 20’s and he’ll possibly go down as one of the greatest tight ends of all time so cut him some slack. And if you’re really that upset with him just don’t root for him when the Gronk smash spikes start up again in 2012. In the meantime, this video is hilarious…
