Another in a long list of interesting in-depth looks at Patriots players from Mark Daniels. Roberts is the most talked about “under-the-radar” guy of hte offseason. He was getting plenty of run with the first team in OTAs and is this year’s potential Malcolm Butler. One to watch in camp who could see a significant role this year.

Flowers and Roberts both make PFF’s Draft Steals list. I think it’s important to recognize how important stopping the run is to the Patriots at the defensive end position. Usually everyone gets excited by defensive end because of pass rush potential, but not the Patriots.

As for Roberts, he’s seen time with the starters in OTAs and should be right in the mix to get playing time as a rookie.
