Why is it harder for some wr’s to understand the patriots offense more then most. It it the route adjustments, is it getting on the same page as brady or is it something else. There are more complicated offense but I’m wondering why people make it seem as if the patriots offense is the most complicated, what do u think

Well, there’s all the stuff we’ve talked about excessively… the post snap route adjustments, running the routes the way Brady wants them to be run, but what we’re seeing right now is also just general rookies adjusting to the NFL.

Logically, an offensive system where all the weapons are reading the defense and adjusting accordingly makes the most sense, so really it’s just a matter of time and experience for these new guys.

I am all for the Pats just continuing to throw the new guys out there and giving them a trial by fire. All have shown the get open against NFL defenders, now they just have to refine their routes, and ultimately, catch the ball when they’re open. If they start doing that suddenly the big storyline becomes “Look at Tom Brady’s explosive new weapons!"

It Is What It Is » Rob Ninkovich on M&M: Jets ‘always talking a little bit too much before the game’

Good stuff from the Jet killer…

“I feel like anytime we play the Jets, I just really like getting after them,” said Ninkovich. “It’s always a fun game. They’re always talking a little bit too much before the game anyway.”

The way the offseason is now structured, September has now become an extension of the preseason. With that, teams are still going to be using the month of September to develop their identity. This couldn’t be more true for the Patriots offense. They have to feel good in that locker room right now, that after all the struggles they’ve had and everything they can learn from, they’re still 2-0. This team will be better in December than it is in September. It’s all about damage control right now.

It’s overall execution of our whole offense, and it’s not the receiver position, it’s every position, including the quarterback position,” he said Monday during his weekly interview on Boston sports radio station WEEI. “The quarterback position, running backs, tight ends, receivers, offensive line – we all have to be on the same page. Until we are, we’re going to struggle.

Cool pic, and this was not the one pass he caught. This was an attempted fade on Devin McCourty that probably would’ve worked if this was last year.
