I like it when everyone brings something different to the party. The Patriots are so gameplan specific it helps to have a selection of weapons to choose from whether they want to run an up-tempo, spread attack or a 22 personnel ground-and-pound.
What is your draft approach , best available or biggest need and why
It’s a balance, but weighted toward best available. You never know for sure what your exact needs will ever be. So you just have to try and find guys who fit what the Patriots demand.

Patriots leave door open for Greg Schiano
I’d love to see Schiano on BB’s staff with so many of his former players already here. Between him and Lombardi there would be a good influx of new ideas and perspective.
Source on Schiano and #Patriots: “Sounds like he could go if he wants, but also considering taking the year off or doing media.”

As for the remainder of the team’s key free agents, it’s been completely silent on wide receiver Julian Edelman, and there haven’t been any negotiations with center Ryan Wendell or running back LeGarrette Blount, according to sources. And the Pats also appear unlikely to trade quarterback Ryan Mallett due to a faded market, according to a source.
