This picture gives me the willies, I don’t know how else to describe it. At this point BB coaching the Jets seems like a distant alternate universe that I want no part of.

Drew Bledsoe’s full page Boston Globe ad to Patriots fans

I had tried to find this when Drew was named the next inductee to The Hall, but I struck out but here it is now after I stumbled upon it yesterday. It’s pretty clear why fans so overwhelmingly voted for Drew. I doubt there was a Patriots fan out there that didn’t have a warm, fuzzy feeling when Bledsoe came into the 2001 AFCCG and threw a touchdown. That kind of poetic justice is rare.

Just a class act, that made it fun to be a Pats fan again after the dark ages in the late 80s/early 90s.

New England Patriots 2004 Playbook (pdf)

New England Patriots 2004 Playbook (pdf)

Here’s something that should get you through the entire lockout! I found this PDF of the 2004 Patriots playbook on a coaching website that had hundreds of them. I cannot guarantee that it is 100% without-a-doubt the actual playbook the Patriots won their 3rd Super Bowl in 4 years with, but it’s a pretty interesting thing to flip through regardless.

It gets slowly more and more complicated but early on there’s some really good stuff, like what “Omaha” means. We’ve all heard TFB yell that at the line.

Check it out, there will be a BB-esque test on it at the end of the day.

I know it’s basically a crapshoot but who are your starting 3 corners on opening day, assuming no injuries or additions to the current roster?

Bradley Fletcher at the defensive LCB, Malcolm Butler at RCB and Robert McClain in the slot (Hoodie have mercy on our souls). Chekwa and Logan Ryan are the wild cards on the outside and Swanson is in the slot. Or who knows, maybe one of the unknowns grabs the open opportunity by the balls.
