Not bad Bills. Maybe you’ll actually beat the Patriots more than once in these uniforms.

Reiss: Fletcher putting in the work

Great stuff here from Dane Fletcher. Sounds like he’s really dedicated himself this off-season and I’m excited to see what strides he can take. A realistic ceiling for Fletch in my mind is him challenging Guyton as the top coverage linebacker who occasionally blitzes. I’m not so sure he’s ever going to be a three down outside linebacker but he should be able to contribute in a number of different ways.

“He’s done things there in his short career with the Patriots that I wasn’t able to do until my eighth or ninth year or something like that. That’s how far along he is. That’s how good he is,” Bruschi said of the 6-foot-1, 245-pound Mayo. “I never had the ability that he has — how fast he is, how big he is and strong. The sky is the limit for him. I truly see him being the best linebacker in the game within two years. I think that’s how good he is.

“No matter what defensive scheme they run,” he added. “They’ll run some 3-4. They’ll run some 4-3 looks. And he can do it on a down-to-down basis. It’s very difficult to do, especially in that system — I know. The sky is the limit for him.”

Patriots Positional Preview: Wide Receivers

This year’s wide receiver corps is arguably the best the Patriots have had, at least since 2007’s fireworks. There might not be that single Hall of Fame talent like Randy Moss, but there’s more depth and diversity than even the record-setting 2007 offense. Acquiring Brandin Cooks was the highlight move of the offseason on offense, […]
