Stopping this guy will be the real test this Sunday. He was pretty much unstoppable against the Pats in the second half of last year’s game.

Haynesworth clotheslines Reggie Bush
One of the things I was most surprised about with Albert was how quick he was. He’s so sudden, and on this play above just slipped through the double team and grabbed Bush with one arm.

PatsFans/Ian Logue: Charting Out the Patriots Passing Game vs. Miami
Some really interesting work here from FOPP’er Ian Logue. The balance that they are able to achieve is astounding.
Also interesting when it comes to the passing game plan last night was the concerted effort to challenge the defense ten yards and further from the line of scrimmage.
Here’s some nuggets from ESPN Boston last night.
Brady was 10 of 17 for 310 yards on throws that traveled more than 10 yards in the air Monday night; his most attempts of that distance in a single game dating back to 2008.
Tom Brady targeted Wes Welker on throws of at least 15 yards four times Monday night, including Welker’s 99-yard touchdown catch. Last season, Brady targeted Welker on throws of that length just eight times all season and never twice in one game.
On the surface this looks to me like a way to not be quite as horizontal as they were in 2010. The Jets felt confident in the playoffs challenging all short passes, but if the Pats continue performances like these it will certainly make Rexy think twice before using the same game plan he did in January.
