I’d very much like to see another glimpse of Mark Sanchez’s shoulder pads this weekend. Show them to me Mark.

Not to get ahead of ourselves, but Wes Welker is in the final year of his contract. As always with BB and the Pats, you never know what the grand plan is.

It’s shaping up to be a very interesting story of next off-season. Not that I’m thinking about anything other than the Jets right now.

I’d say it has somewhat to do with how much they like Edelman and Price.

The Pats already made the mistake once of dicking around with Tom Brady’s favorite target, only to have things get ugly and see him end up on another team. Thank Hoodie we got Deion Branch back for the golden years, but we missed out on some quality time with him for sure (see 2006 AFCCG and Caldwell, Reche).

I’d hope that they wouldn’t make the same mistake twice.

Welker may only have a few more seasons before he loses that explosive quickness that he has. But he’s smart enough to get by without it for at least another four.

He’s playing like the best receiver in football. An on-pace-to-be-historic season. He won’t be cheap.

And it definitely seems like he wouldn’t mind seeing what kind of deals are out there.

So I say sign him and sign him quick, before someone’s ready to way overpay him, if they’re not already.

I would kill for the reverse angle of this shot from behind Branch as he kneels before the Black Hole in exaltation. The TV cameras caught it briefly, it would be an amazing shot if it exists.

There are a lot of times during games where Seymour had that type of emotion. That’s what made him so successful. I remember talking to him in the huddle at times trying to calm him down. Not in a confrontational way, because that would have been dangerous, but looking him in the eye and asking him if we were going to be OK. You tried to bring that emotional level down, but make no mistake, that emotion is what makes Richard one of the most dominant defensive tackles in the game.

Throwback week for the Pats. Does that mean the Jets are in theirs too?

collectedclutter:

“Nothing surprises me with Wes,” Brady said. “He’s the heart and soul of this team. He’s been like that since he got here. He’s become a dynamic player over the years. He’s tough. He’s clutch. He’s mentally tough. He’s awesome. … I love being out there with him.”
