jullie-anne:

ABC World News shed light on the increase in ACL injuries for children. 8-year-old Caleb Seymour tore his ACL playing football. However, he found comfort in knowing that his hero, Tom Brady, endured the same injury. He wears #12’s jersey to every one of his rehab sessions. Thinking they were taking a private tour, the Seymour family went to Gillette Stadium. Tom Brady, Wes Welker, and Deion Branch of the NE Patriots surprised the Seymours on the field. (x)

FoxSports/Marvez: Postseason Predictions

FoxSports/Marvez: Postseason Predictions

It’s definitely too early to really think anything playoff-wise is set in stone yet, but this is a fun read nonetheless.

The “end-of-a-dynasty” theme became a hot topic as New England faced its first three-game skid in nine years entering last Sunday’s road game against the streaking the New York Jets.

If the Giants loss truly marked the end of a dynasty, it didn’t take long for a new one to have potentially sprung anew.

The Patriots (6-3) didn’t just rebound in a big way with a 37-16 rout of their AFC East archrival. Thanks to another inexcusable Baltimore loss to inferior opposition (Seattle) and the potentially serious foot injury suffered by Houston quarterback Matt Schaub against Tampa Bay, New England has moved back into the driver’s seat for the conference’s top playoff seed.

It’d be tough to be much better than Tom Brady was on Sunday night.

In a battle of rock vs. hard place, Brady was the rock, and now the Jets are in a hard place (oh yeah, that’s some good writing for ya, folks).

Facing the prospect of a third straight loss, a tough road game, the top spot in the division and the best pass defense in football, Brady said “That all you got?” With an assist from the New England D (three turnovers),

Brady’s 118.4 rating against the Jets in New York still has to rank in the top 10 regular-season performances of his career – and it went beyond the numbers. The Jets’ front was ferocious, winning the battles against the New England line, but Brady found the time he needed and made the most of it.

With seven of the softest games imaginable left on the schedule, he and the Patriots could easily earn the AFC’s top seed despite the two-game skid, and an 11th straight AFC East title (two were shared) seems like a foregone conclusion at this point.
