In terms of offseason approach, how have things changed entering season No. 4?
“I’ve matured. It takes a while to mature, but you have to know that the offseason is just a way to get football off your mind, but at the same time to get football back on your mind and just refresh everything. The more years you have, the more you understand that and the more stuff you can get done in the offseason."

Belichick got to Lincoln Thursday night. Hit the North Stadium football offices at 7:30 a.m. for a morning-long film session breaking down NU schemes and players.
“I admire the way (NU coach Bo Pelini) matches coverage and the way he uses the safeties in the run front,” Belichick said.

What does it mean for the Patriots? Over the span of about six months, the Bills committed to Ryan Fitzpatrick through 2017 with a big deal, and the Jets followed with the Sanchez pact through 2016. The jury is still out on both of those quarterbacks. Meanwhile, the Dolphins have major questions at the all-important position, and are in the Peyton Manning sweepstakes. Closer to home, Tom Brady is inked through 2014 but has said he hopes to play until he’s at least 40. For those who believe the NFL is a quarterback-driven league, the Patriots are positioned to remain in the AFC East driver’s seat for the near future.
