Sterling Moore came out of nowhere to play a pivotal role for the Patriots during the 2011 postseason. He remains an under-the-radar player now, and I continue to be impressed with technique and ability to leverage opponents. He plays with good bend and flexibility, and seems to have solid fundamentals to his game.

Of course I’m rooting for Sterling Moore, he came on the PatsProp & Frenz podcast!

After unsuccessfully trying to trade WR Chad Ochocinco throughout the day Thursday, the Patriots are releasing him, per league source.
Adam Schefter
And there it is. Nothing much to say about it really. He couldn’t get it and the Pats are well prepared to move on without him or what they might’ve hoped he could contribute. Thanks for trying, Chad. Now all I feel is a sense of relief the Ochocinco circus has left Foxboro.

Offseason pickup Bobby Carpenter continues to see reps with the first team defense, with Rob Ninkovich continuing to practice with the defensive linemen.

Very curious as to where Carpenter is playing, probably SLB or MLB with Spikes out and Ninkovich playing DE now.

Red zone was a focus for the team today, and veteran addition Brandon Lloyd snared a couple of impressive catches in the end zone. His strong offseason play continued.

Has there ever been a Patriots storyline as straightforward as the Brandon Lloyd one. Usually the slam dunks the fans see are never the moves the Patriots make. Yes with Lloyd everyone thought he’d come to New England and instantly fit in with the offense, and he’s done just that. Weird.
