Good news on Brandon Llloyd

August 3, 2012 by Mike Dussault

Source tells me Brandon Lloyd, who missed last night’s practice, is “fine.” Minor thing, no need to push too hard this early. Precautionary.

Figured as much, they took the same kind of precautions with Moss in 2007.

With Patriots Offensive Line in Flux, Dante Scarnecchia’s Presence Is a Blessing | Bleacher Report

With Patriots Offensive Line in Flux, Dante Scarnecchia’s Presence Is a Blessing | Bleacher Report

Nice work by Frenz…

This is where Scarnecchia has done some of his best work, in bringing in unheralded, undrafted and unknown offensive linemen to fill in. Along the way, Scarnecchia has continued to getting the most out of them, no matter what their past is, how they ended up in the league or on the Patriots roster.

Tavon works hard. He’s very attentive, he asks good questions, he really pays attention and he’s a hard working kid, both on and off the field. Steady improvement, long way to go, tough position to play and a tough position to transition into because of all the different things in the passing game and formations and matchups, all those type of things that veteran safeties would recognize – where the advantage of the matchup is to the offense and what we can do about it schematically or what we can do about it in terms of anticipation by formation and so forth.

Camp Observations: Day 8 – New England Patriots Blog – ESPN Boston

Is Steve Gregory the Patriots answer at safety? Looks like he had a good day today.

Veteran safety Steve Gregory had his most active practice to date, breaking up at least three passes and intercepting Brady on a ball thrown over the middle. Gregory looks reactive and fluid enough to move around in the back half of the field to be a sufficient ball-hawking free safety. He did drop another would be interception, but continues to get his hands on balls.

McCourty update

Slowly RT @mattmast: what about McCourty? Is he rebouncing from last year?

— Greg A. Bedard (@GregABedard) August 2, 2012

McCourty’s been strangely under the radar in camp. Most eyes have been on Dowling and Arrington. Not sure if that’s a good or bad thing.

Tom Brady came out strong in training camp, zipping throws around the yard from the outset. He’s remained largely sharp since, but struggled on Thursday. He made a number of uncharacteristic throws, missing on his targets and forcing the issue on an interception by safety Steve Gregory. It’s not a sight Patriots fans are used to seeing from the soon-to-be-35-year-old quarterback.

Who does he think he is, Sanchizmo?

Which former Patriot player will have the best season in 2012? :All Things Pats Great different perspective here. Of all these guys it’s hard to root for anyone in the division especially with Mark Anderson coming for Brady, but you can’t help but wish nothing but the best the the Law Firm, and Randy Moss […]
