I’m not sure if we should even pick a Player of the Week after that performance against the Bills, but let’s give it to Danny Woodhead and his two touchdowns. It’s nice to see Woody bouncing back after a down season in 2011 where he was reportedly fighting to get healthy for much of the year.
Woodhead continues to be a great weapon, especially in space, and a nice change of pace from the slashing ways of Stevan Ridley.

They’ve been fortunate to continue winning this way in 2012 in what should be called “The Year of the Forced Fumble”. In the last ten seasons no AFC team has topped 18 forced fumbles. The Patriots already have 13. This illustrates that this year’s Patriots are getting their turnovers with physicality more so than the past two years when they were more reliant on interceptions.

One of the biggest things that bothered me about this game were the coverage busts in the red area. There were two uncontested TDs by the Buffalo Bills – to Scott Chandler and Donald Jones. Both touchdowns were a result of a lack of communication. The Buffalo Bills formed offensive sets that put their receivers in close proximity that caused traffic problems and forced communication. The proper adjustments are not being communicated. Uncontested TDs are a sign of an undisciplined defense.
