I wouldn’t base (being the greatest) off (stats) because if I had two Hall of Fame quarterbacks, where would my numbers be?” Moss said. “I worked with one for a few years, and that’s Tom Brady. Give me Tom Brady for the next five, six years, and you’ll see where my numbers would be. I play for the 49ers, and Jerry Rice is a historian here. I’m not being disrespectful because I have love for Jerry Rice. By me saying I’m the greatest wide receiver to ever do it, that’s just my personal opinion. Everybody has their personal opinions. I don’t want to get him fired up and thinking I’m being disrespectful because he started this. I still have props. I still have love for him. It’s just something that I feel I’m the greatest receiver to ever do it.

Pats’ special teams finish 13th – New England Patriots Blog – ESPN Boston

The special teams were mostly reliable throughout the 2012 season for the Patriots, with highlights including a kickoff return for a touchdown by Devin McCourty and two special teams touchdowns by Julian Edelman. Other more forgettable plays include a blocked punt early in the season, as well as a near kickoff return for a touchdown allowed to open the AFC divisional round against the Houston Texans.

Patriots defensive end Chandler Jones did not need surgery on either of his injured ankles, according to a source. Jones said last week that he would need to consult the team doctor to discuss a course of action, and he didn’t rule out surgery. But it looks like rest will be the best method of recovery
