Fighting for Wes Welker | Her Game Life
There’s definitely an argument to be made for keeping Welker, he’s been the consumate Patriot, battled through injuries, no one has competed harder than him.
And if you want to say something about his “big” drops, just remember him catching the game sealing first down against the Colts in 2007. He had hundreds of big catches, and took far too many big hits.
If this is goodbye it will be bittersweet sorrow.
Should Devin McCourty Play Cornerback or Safety in 2013? | Bleacher Report
Nice read from Frenz. Seems to me all but a forgone conclusion he’ll stay at safety, but it’s nice to know you can always kick him back to corner if needed.
[A] very valid point comes from Greg Bedard of The Boston Globe in the video above: McCourty has played very well at safety, given almost no offseason practice or preparation at the position. With a full offseason at safety, McCourty could very well emerge as a top free safety in the NFL. Should McCourty play cornerback or safety in 2013 and beyond? Cornerback Safety Submit Vote vote to see results The Patriots have a lot of options in the secondary and part of the reason why is McCourty’s versatility.
Free Agent Target: DT Desmond Bryant – Pats Pulpit
Good read from PatsPulpit on a player that has pinged my radar. Seems like a great Pats fit….
Pondering Patriots and big receivers – New England Patriots Blog – ESPN Boston
Here’s one recurring theme that we’ll see plenty of in the coming months…
The Patriots could also be in the market for a big-bodied wide receiver, something they lacked in 2012 and an established presence they haven’t had since 2009. That was the last season that Randy Moss was truly effective for the Patriots, and since then, the team has been without a tall, physical wide receiver who can take the top off of a defense or win in 50-50 situations against a defensive back in man coverage.
In a strange way this win allows me to love 45-3 again.
